Teen starlet Selena Gomez will lead the cast of the New Line comedy What Boys Want, says Variety.
The project, a reverse take on Mel Gibson’s hit What Women Want, follows a young girl who has the ability to hear the thoughts of the opposite sex. Ascript is being written by Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer. The feature will be produced by Kevin Misher and executive produced by Allen Fisher and Gomez’s mother Mandy Teefey, according to the trade paper.
Selena, 17, is best known as the star of The Disney Channel series The Wizards Of Waverly Place. She released her debut album Kiss & Tell with her band The Scene last month.
